Part Two- How to protect yourself from coronavirus (COVID-19)
We are continuing our series on how to protect yourself and others during the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 has caused anxiety throughout the world as it has resulted in entire cities, states, and countries having to quarantine residents. At Aepios, we provide online medical support groups for a number of conditions. We have recently added a health support group for COVID-19 designed to allow participants to share their thoughts, fears, experiences, and triumphs as we all deal with this pandemic.
We are continuing our online health support group article series on ways to protect yourself and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Cover Your Mouth with Your Elbow When You Cough or Sneeze
Doing this helps prevent the spread of droplets from the nose and mouth that transmit the virus. Since not everyone who carries the virus has symptoms, you should take precautions and assume you have the potential to spread the disease.
Do Not Leave Home if You Do Not Feel Well
If you do not feel well, STAY HOME. Even if you do not have a fever, STAY HOME. If you experience nausea, sore throat, diarrhea, headache, dry cough, body aches, or any other ailment, STAY HOME. If your symptoms worsen, call your doctor immediately.
Self-Isolate if You Think You Have Been Exposed
If you think you have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, then you should self-isolate at home for 14 days. Be sure to have enough supplies (food, water, paper goods, etc.) on hand to last 14 days in the event you need to self-isolate. If you start to experience symptoms, call your doctor immediately.
We understand the anxiety the coronavirus pandemic has caused, which is why we have added COVID-19 to our online medical support groups. We offer a safe, non-judgmental place to share information and connect with others and encourage you to join for free today!
