It also releases hormones that directly regulates heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature and weight. It also controls functions such as how you use energy, produce heat, and consume oxygen. Thyroid cancer develops when cells change or mutate. The abnormal cells begin to grow in your thyroid and, once they are enough, they form a tumor. If it is caught early, thyroid cancer is one of the most curable cancer type.
